Go behind the scenes at the Youth Cup final
Our latest episode of Access All Areas is simply a must-watch for every Manchester United fan.
We sent our cameramen behind the scenes to document Wednesday night’s FA Youth Cup final in all its glory, allowing us to put you in the best seat in the house while you bask in our historic 11th triumph in this competition.
A header from captain Rhys Bennett, plus Alejandro Garnacho’s second-half double, helped Travis Binnion’s side to a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest, in front of an astonishing crowd of 67,492.
There were more fans at Old Trafford than at any other British club game this midweek and our video captures some spine-tingling moments, from pre-match outside the ground through the players coming out of the tunnel to a momentous reception.
We have footage of the lads arriving at the stadium – where they’ve played before, of course, but never in front of this many people – and taking in their surroundings, as is traditional before a big cup final.
Pre-match interviews with Nick Cox and Harry Maguire are also included, as are the presentations to our newly crowned U23s and U18s Players of the Year, in Alvaro Fernandez and Garnacho respectively.
Check out the manic scenes on the substitutes' bench at 22:22 and 23:50 too, as the players celebrate Garnacho's decisive penalty and then get ready to run on to the pitch to celebrate, accompanied by the likes of Teden Mengi, Hannibal and Shola Shoretire - Academy graduates and former Youth Cup stars who have since tasted first-team action.
There's much, much more and this is an episode really not to be missed, so what are you waiting for? Take half an hour out of your day and feast on our Access All Areas video!
