Ronaldo reacts to Player of the Month win
Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked those who voted for him to win the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for April.
Our no.7 took home the accolade for the second time this season, and the sixth time overall, having scored five goals across four games for United.
Ronaldo netted a hat-trick against Norwich City and goals against Arsenal and Chelsea, in a remarkable month on the pitch which saw him pass 100 Premier League strikes.
“My 2nd Premier League Player Of The Month Award, the 6th in my career,” Ronaldo wrote on his social media accounts.
“I’m as happy to win today as I was in my early days, the hunger for victory and achievements never fades away. Thanks to everyone that made this possible.”

In a separate video, filmed from our Carrington training ground, CR7 had a special word for Reds supporters, who helped him beat the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Thiago Alcantara and Son Heung-min to the prize.
“Hi guys!” he said, “thanks for voting for me for the Player of the Month. Thank you guys. Ciao ciao.”
Ronaldo has now won more Premier League Player of the Month awards than any other United player, passing Wayne Rooney’s mark of five.
The Portuguese star has, of course, claimed hundred of individual prizes during his sterling career, but his list for this season is now pretty impressive too.
CR7 was named the club’s Player of the Month for September, October, March and April and he has also finished top in the Goal of the Month voting four times, in October, February, March and April.
