Ruben Amorim

When Amorim will hold Liverpool press conference

Thursday 02 January 2025 13:00

Ruben Amorim's first press conference of 2025, looking ahead to the weekend's trip to Liverpool, will be held on Friday 3 January with journalists at Carrington.

United travel down the M62 to Anfield, where we’ll take on old rivals Liverpool in our opening Premier League fixture of the new year.

The Reds are aiming to stem a run of consecutive defeats which blighted the end of 2024, but it won’t be easy against the top-flight leaders, who have been in stellar form under Arne Slot after he replaced Jurgen Klopp during the summer.

There’s nothing quite like a clash with the Merseysiders to stir the blood, though, and Ruben will be previewing his maiden match against Liverpool in his media briefing which, as usual, will be held at Carrington’s Jimmy Murphy Centre.

The boss is adamant he will not change his ideas, despite the team's loss of form.

Hopefully our head coach can provide an update in regards to team news, following the busy Christmas schedule.

While Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte will be able to return from suspension in L4, Victor Lindelof and Mason Mount have been missing, due to injuries suffered in December, while Luke Shaw is also on the sidelines.

The boss may also be asked about the January transfer window, which opened at midnight on New Year’s Day.

We’ll be streaming the full press conference on our in-house TV channel, which you can also access via the United App and ManUtd.com, while the video will be available to watch on demand shortly afterwards.
