Where does Bruno rank for all-time Premier League assists?
Bruno Fernandes is vying to overtake two Manchester United legends in the club's Premier League assists chart.
The Portuguese wizard is famed for his tireless creative work in the centre of the park, still managing to record 10 Premier League assists for 2024/25 in an otherwise difficult campaign for the Reds.
He spots and executes passes in a blink of the eye, recognising space and opportunities that few others can see; his bravery in trying to make things happen is unmatched.
His haul last term takes him to eighth in our all-time assists charts, but of even more interest is the players he could soon surpass.
Our captain now has 51 league assists to his name, drawing level with Eric Cantona, one of an exclusive group of former Reds who can claim to have had such an individual influence over a United squad.
It also puts Fernandes just four assists away from equalling Paul Scholes's record of 55 and, given that Bruno has never set up fewer than six goals in a single Premier League season since joining in 2020, it wouldn't be a shock to see that happen.
UNITED'S ALL-TIME PREMIER LEAGUE ASSISTS
1. Ryan Giggs - 162
2. Wayne Rooney - 93
3. David Beckham - 80
4. Paul Scholes - 55
5. Eric Cantona - 51
=5. Bruno Fernandes - 51
6. Nani - 43
7. Marcus Rashford - 40
8. Antonio Valencia - 39
9. Paul Pogba - 38
Fernandes is showing no signs of slowing in his productivity, either, if his performances in the Premier League Summer Series are anything to go by.

He recorded the most goals, had the most shots on target, created the most chances and completed the most passes in the opposition half of any United player in games against West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton, helping his side lift the pre-season silverware over in the United States.
We’ve got to talk about Bruno

While the 30-year-old needs a fair few more seasons to trouble Ryan Giggs's incredible record at 162 assists, it seems probable he'll move further up the charts this term, having overtaken Nani last season.
With the additional firepower of new signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to work with – 35 goals between them in the league for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brentford respectively – everything is set up for another campaign of providing for Fernandes. Cantona and Scholes – beware!
