United transfer ins and outs: Summer 2025
Here is your guide to Manchester United's transfer activity during the summer window of 2025.
Up until the deadline on 1 September, the Reds were able to buy and sell players as Ruben Amorim's squad takes shape.
Matheus Cunha was the first arrival, signing from Wolves, before Diego Leon completed his switch from Cerro Porteno.
Enzo Kana-Biyik signed as a free agent from Le Havre but was loaned out to Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland for the season, before Bryan Mbeumo's move from Brentford was confirmed.
In the build-up to the Snapdragon Cup game against Fiorentina at Old Trafford, we announced Benjamin Sesko's arrival from RB Leipzig.
And, just before the window closed, goalkeeper Senne Lammens arrived from Royal Antwerp.
On the outgoing front, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof departed at the end of their contracts.
Evans, though, is remaining at the club, following his retirement, after being appointed head of loans and pathways, while Lindelof has joined Aston Villa.
Tom Heaton signed a fresh one-year deal.
Loan moves have been announced for several youngsters, including Harry Amass, Toby Collyer and Ethan Wheatley.
One senior loan exit for 2025/26 was confirmed when Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on 23 July, while Alejandro Garnacho departed for Chelsea on a permanent deal at the end of August.
On deadline day, Antony completed a transfer to Real Betis, while season-long switches were made official as Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho secured moves to Napoli and Aston Villa respectively.
