Manchester United Women continued our hot streak in the WSL with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Goals from Ella Toone, Hinata Miyazawa and Celin Bizet ensured an eighth league victory of the season with over 3,000 fans in attendance to cheer on Marc Skinner's side.

Following the contest, supporters were asked to select their Player of the Match on ManUtd.com and in the United App, with one contender earning nearly half of all votes to top the polling.

Marc Skinner's Reds were in fine form to see off Brighton in the WSL on Sunday - read our report here.

After netting the opener, it was Toone who yielded the biggest return by gaining 49 per cent of the vote, cast before 22:00 GMT this evening.

Our no.7 has been in electric form ever since her return from injury and looks to be making early strides in ensuring 2025 is a year to remember.

Ella was taken off with just over 20 minutes to go and received a huge round of applause from everyone inside Leigh Sports Village.

In second place was our very own 'Hiniesta', as labelled by head coach Marc Skinner following our victory over the Seagulls.

Miyazawa grabbed 38 per cent of the votes and while she came up just short in the voting for our award, the midfielder was named the Barclays Player of the Match live on Sky Sports.

Scoring after 11 minutes, Hini was mobbed by her team-mates as we extended our advantage to two in the opening stages.

Fellow scorer on the evening Cilen Bizet was on the podium too in third place, grabbing five per cent after her stunning strike.

Bizet is also on something of a hot streak in front of goal lately - netting four times in as many matches in 2025 - and long may it continue.

But all credit must go to Ella on this occasion. Congrats, Tooney!
