Match Predictions Rules

Here are some general rules about points scoring. For full terms and conditions, see below.

General rules
• Match Predictions officially open 24 hours before kick-off for men’s matches, but you can access the next match in the Predictions section of My United. 
• Correct Score, United First Scorer and United Man of the Match close at kick-off
• Predictions can be edited and changed up to the above stated deadlines
• If you have not submitted your predictions before the above deadlines they will not count. If you are editing an earlier prediction and have not submitted your changes by the above stated deadlines your updated predictions will not count and we will revert to your earlier selection
• You can take part in any or all of the four prediction games. If you do not make a prediction for any individual Predictions game, you will score 0 points for those games
• The latest submissions in each prediction game will be taken as final
• Players available to be selected will be taken from the current Manchester United men’s squad. Where a player is selected to play in a match but not available to be selected in the Line-ups predictor (i.e. Youth team player called up) then the maximum points awarded for guessing the starting line-up will be awarded to fans who select the remaining 10 players correctly

Line-ups
• Total maximum points available = 65 points*
• Line-ups predictions close 90 minutes before kick-off
• Players do not have to be in the exact position as stated on the team sheet to be considered to be correct. The selected players just have to match the eleven who take to the field to start the game
• Where a formation is played that is not available to be selected then no points will be awarded for that fixture
• Formations will be judged by the formation submitted by Opta. Before, every game Opta predict the formation before and five minutes into the game refresh this based on the way the team has lined up in the game. The formation taken 5 minutes into the game will be the formation judged to be correct and accurate.

Correct Score
• Total points available = 20 points* for predicting the correct score at the end of the match (includes extra time, does not include penalties)

United's First Scorer
• 20 points available* for predicting United's first scorer in the match. This is the first United scorer during the match, regardless of the opposition scoring 
• Fans can choose any Man Utd men's first team player or no goal scorer

United's Man of the Match
• 20 points available* for predicting United's Man of the Match. This is the Man of the Match award voted for by fans in the Manchester United Official App and is not affiliated with other awards, such as the Premier League or TV broadcasters
• If no Man of the Match is awarded (this sometimes happens after a defeat) then 5 points are given to all fans who made a prediction

Total Available Score
• A maximum of 125 points are available per match*

My United Score
• All match scores are totalled and detailed in your 'My United Score' found in your My United profile. This is your season total of points scored.

*Maximum points available for standard matches. We may choose to increase the points on offer on a per match basis e.g. 'Double Points'

To win prizes you must be registered and logged in to My United in the Manchester United App so you can store your scores and track your progress throughout the season. Prizes are awarded on a Monthly and Season basis as follows: 

Monthly Prize
Fans with the highest scores in each calendar month are entered into a prize draw with a chance to win a £100 voucher for United Store

Season Prize 
Fans with the highest scores over the 2025/26 season will be entered into a prize draw to win a £500 voucher for United Store.

In order for scores to sync to Manchester United’s database, entrants are required to log back in to the Manchester United App within 72 hours of a match taking place. Anyone who does not log back within 72 hours of a match may not be entered into the prize draws as their scores will not sync to the system in time. Entrants’ scores will not be lost, provided you are logged in to your My United account; however, Manchester United may not be able to include them in the upcoming Prize Draw.

The Manchester United App Predictions Season 2025/26 Prize Promotion

General entry terms

1. Manchester United Football Club Limited (“MU”) (whose registered office is Old Trafford, Sir Matt Busby Way, Manchester M16 0RA) is the promoter of the Manchester United Official App Predictions Hub season 2025/26 prize draws (the “Prize Draws”) and competitions (the “Competitions”) (together, the “Prize Promotion”). The Prize Promotion gives fans the chance to enter multiple prize draws and competitions over the course of the 2025/26 football season (the “Season”).
2. By entering this Prize Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Conditions”) and confirm that all information submitted is true, accurate and complete. MU reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any and all entrants and may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any entrant who fails to satisfy the eligibility requirements and/or disqualify any entrant who has been found to have tampered with the app and/or points system. Entrants shall at all times act in good faith towards MU and the Prize Promotion.
3. Employees of MU or any of its associated companies or subsidiaries (and their families) are excluded from entering the Prize Promotion.
4. Entry into the Prize Promotion is free (except for any applicable data usage charges) and is open to: (i) entrants of all ages (although MU assumes that any entrants who are under the age of 18 have obtained parental consent to enter this Prize Promotion and to download the App (as defined below) and accept these Conditions); and (ii) both UK and non-UK residents.

   How to enter

5. It is only possible to enter this Prize Promotion if you are logged into the official Manchester United app (the “App”). To enter the Prize Promotion, entrants must download and register within the App in order to make certain predictions in accordance with paragraph 6 below. For the avoidance of any doubt, only those who have registered within the App and are logged in at the time of making their Prediction(s) will be entered into the Prize Promotion.
6. To enter this Prize Promotion, entrants must make at least one prediction in relation to football matches played by Manchester United’s first team squad which take place during the 2025/26 football season (this includes all competitive home and away matches played by the Manchester United men’s first team squad in all major competitions including, but not limited to, the Premier League, the English Football League Cup and the FA Cup) (each a “Match”). Entrants will be asked to complete certain data entry fields and submit their predictions as to the following prediction categories (each, a distinct “Prediction Category”):

   (each a “Prediction” and together the “Predictions”).

   *The Manchester United Man of the Match will be the player as voted for by fans in the Official Manchester United App. This is not affiliated with other awards, such as the Premier League or TV broadcasters.

7. The registration page to enter Predictions will be made available at least 24 hours prior to every Match and will close 90 minutes prior to the official kick-off time (subject to fixture changes) for the relevant Match. Any Predictions made by an entrant less than 90 minutes before the official kick-off time for the Match will not be accepted.
8. Once Predictions have been submitted entrants are only able to edit or make changes to their Predictions up to 90 minutes prior to the official kick-off time. Any changes or edits to Predictions made less than 90 minutes before the official kick-off time for the Match will not be accepted.
9. Anyone who submits a Prediction is required to acknowledge and accept the Prediction Rules available at:https://www.manutd.com/en/official-app/match-predictions-rules-points-and-prizes.
10. This Prize Promotion will run from 12:00 BST on 17 August 2025 until the final Match of the Season (for the avoidance of any doubt, this will be the final match of the Season for any major competition played by the Manchester United men’s first team squad including, but not limited to, the Premier League, English Football League Cup and/or FA Cup matches) (the “Competition Period”). Any Predictions made outside of the Competition Period will not be included in any relevant Prize Draw and/or Competition.

     

    The Points System

11. Entrants will be awarded points for each correct Prediction in accordance with the points system located at:https://www.manutd.com/en/official-app/match-predictions-rules-points-and-prizes.
12. The amount of points that any entrant may be awarded for each Match is capped at a maximum of 125 points.
13. All decisions as to whether a Prediction (or part of a Prediction) is correct will be determined by MU in MU’s absolute discretion. MU will not enter into any correspondence with any entrants regarding any of their Prediction(s).
14. On an ad hoc basis MU may run a promotion to award double points for a specific correct Prediction.

     

    The Prize Promotion

15. Entrants who comply with these Conditions and submit a Prediction or Predictions in accordance with these Conditions may be eligible to win a prize or prizes at various points throughout the Season in accordance with paragraph 16 below.
16. MU may conduct the following Prize Draws and/or Competitions throughout the Season as follows:
    1. from time to time, after a specific Match, entrants who submitted a minimum number of Predictions in relation to the relevant Match (such minimum number to be determined on a Match-by-Match basis by MU in MU’s absolute discretion) may be entered into a prize draw and given the chance to win a Match by Match Prize (as defined below) (the “Match by Match Prize Draw”). For fairness, once an entrant has been selected as a Match by Match Prize Draw Winner, they will not be entered into future Match by Match Prize Draws and/or future Prediction Category Prize Draws in this Prize Promotion. However, they will still be eligible for the Monthly Competitions and/or the Season Grand Prize Competition (subject to and in accordance with the terms which apply to such Competitions);
    2. from time to time, after a Match, entrants who submitted correct Predictions in certain Prediction Categories in relation to the relevant Match (as determined by MU in MU’s absolute discretion) may be entered into a prize draw and given the chance to win a Prediction Category Prize (as defined below) (the “Prediction Category Prize Draw”). For fairness, once an entrant has been selected as a Prediction Category Prize Draw Winner, they will not be entered into future Match by Match Prize Draws and/or future Prediction Category Prize Draws in this Prize Promotion. However, they will still be eligible for the Monthly Competitions and/or the Season Grand Prize Competition (subject to and in accordance with the terms which apply to such Competitions);
    3. at the end of each calendar month throughout the Season (from August 2025 through to the month in which the final Match of the Season is played) all the entrants will be entered into a monthly competition to win a Monthly Prize (as defined below). The top point scoring entrant (i.e. the entrant who has accumulated the most points within that month only, according to MU) will be selected as the Monthly Prize Winner (the “Monthly Competition”). For fairness, once an entrant has been selected as a Monthly Prize Winner, they will not be entered into future Monthly Competitions in this Prize Promotion. However, they will still be eligible for the Match by Match Prize Draws, Prediction Category Prize Draws and/or the Season Grand Prize Competition (subject to and in accordance with the terms which apply to such Prize Draws and/or Competitions); and
    4. at the end of the Season, all the entrants will be entered into a competition to win the Grand Prize (as defined below). The top point scoring entrant (i.e. the entrant who has accumulated the highest number of points throughout the Season, according to MU) will be selected as the Grand Prize Winner (the “Season Grand Prize Competition”).
17. The decision as to which entrants have accumulated the highest number of points and therefore win a Monthly Prize and/or the Grand Prize (as applicable) will be decided by MU, in MU’s absolute discretion.

     

    The Prizes

18. MU intends (but does not guarantee) that the following prizes (each item is a “Prize” and together form the “Prizes”) will be available to the winners of the relevant Prize Draws and/or Competitions:
    1. the prize for each Match by Match Prize Draw will be one (1) item of official Manchester United merchandise (the nature and value of such merchandise to be determine by MU at MU’s absolute discretion on a Match by Match basis) (the “Match by Match Prize”);
    2. the prize for each Prediction Category Prize Draw will be one (1) item of official Manchester United merchandise (the nature and value of such merchandise to be determine by MU at MU’s absolute discretion on a Match by Match basis) (the “Prediction Category Prize”);
    3. the prize for each Monthly Competition will be a £100 United Store voucher (the “Monthly Prize”);
    4. the prize for the Season Grand Prize Competition will be a £500 United Store voucher (the “Grand Prize”).
19. The Prizes are subject to paragraphs 20 and 21.
20. MU reserves the right to substitute any Prize (or any element of a Prize) with another of a similar nature and/or of equal or greater value at any time.
21. The Prizes (or any element of the Prizes) are non-refundable, non-transferable, subject to availability and there are no cash alternatives.

     

    The winners

22. There will be numerous winners of the Prize Promotion throughout the Season, as follows:
    1. the winner of each Match by Match Prize Draw will be chosen by random draw (performed by a computer process) from a pool of the entrants who had submitted a minimum number of Predictions in relation to the relevant Match (such minimum number to be determined on a Match by Match basis by MU in MU’s absolute discretion). There will be one winner of each Match by Match Prize Draw;
    2. the winner of each Prediction Category Prize Draw will be chosen by random draw (performed by a computer process) from a pool of the entrants who had submitted correct Predictions in certain Prediction Categories in relation to the relevant Match (such Prediction Category to be determined on a Match by Match basis by MU in MU’s absolute discretion). There will be one winner of each Prediction Category Prize Draw;
    3. the winner of each Monthly Competition will be the person who has accumulated the highest number of points in that month. In the event of a draw, the winner of the Monthly Competition will be chosen by random draw (performed by a computer process) from the pool of entrants with the tied highest number of points in that month. There will be one winner of each of the Monthly Competitions; and
    4. the winner of the Season Grand Prize Competition will be the person who has accumulated the highest number of points overall for the Season. In the event of a draw, the winner of the Season Grand Prize Competition will be chosen by random draw (performed by a computer process) from the pool of entrants with the tied highest number of points overall for that Season. There will be one winner of the Season Grand Prize Competition,

    (each a “Winner” and together the “Winners”).

23. Only the Winners will receive notification from MU. Each Winner will be notified by email as soon as practicable following the relevant Prize Draw and/or Competition and MU will make arrangements with the Winners about collection or delivery of their Prize.
24. MU may wish to use a Winner’s names for promotional purposes. Each Winner (or a Winner’s parent or carer if a Winner is under 16 years of age) will be required to give their consent to their surname and country to be disclosed to any person requesting that MU confirms the identity of the Winners and for promotional purposes. A Winner may raise any concerns regarding this paragraph with MU.
25. If MU cannot successfully contact a Winner within a reasonable length of time, or if a Winner is unable and/or unwilling to accept the relevant Prize, or if a Winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, subsequent draws and selections will take place until a new winner is found who is able, willing and eligible to accept the relevant Prize. This new winner shall be deemed to be a Winner for the purposes of these Conditions.
26. Subject to paragraph 24 above, details of all of the Winners will be made available to the public upon request from Manchester United Football Club Limited, Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0RA two weeks after the Closing Date (subject to data protection legislation).

     

    General terms

27. There are no costs, fees or charges associated with entering this Prize Promotion or with the collection of any Prize.
28. Entrants are responsible for any actions they do or do not take as a result of entering this Prize Promotion.
29. To the extent legally permissible, MU shall have no liability whatsoever to any entrants who for any reason whatsoever lose any or all of their points including but not limited to due to any technical failure or malfunction. MU will endeavour to recover the entrants lost points however in certain circumstances this may not be possible.
30. MU reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, amend or withdraw this Prize Promotion or these Conditions (in whole or in part or, in certain jurisdictions only) without notice when reasonably necessary.
31. The Prize Promotion, together with these Conditions, is governed by the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
32. All individuals are expected to act fairly and in the good spirit of the relevant Prize Draw and/or Competition. MU reserves the right to investigate any irregularities and disqualify individuals at its absolute discretion. MU’s decision as to who has won the relevant Prize Draw and/or Competition shall be final.
33. So long as it is permitted by law, MU, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to provide compensation, or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of an entrant taking up any Prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of MU, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Each entrant’s statutory rights are not affected.
34. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in MU's Privacy Policy  https://www.manutd.com/en/Help/Privacy-Policy.

1. which 11 Manchester United players will form the starting line up in respect of the relevant Match;
2. what the formation of the starting lineup will be in respect of the relevant Match;
3. the final score of the relevant Match;
4. who the Manchester United man of the Match* will be in respect of the Relevant Match; and
5. the name of the player who will score the first goal for Manchester United during the relevant Match.
