Tall, strong centre-back who is currently on loan at Stockport County.
A presence at the heart of the defence, he gained valuable experience as a schoolboy when being named as part of the UEFA Youth League squad. A trip to Austria in the summer of 2019 was the second time Will had travelled with the Academy squad to the country and he followed it up by becoming a regular in the Under-18s. Despite being eligible for another year in Neil Ryan's side, he was more often involved with the Under-23s, showing maturity and composure when appearing in Premier League 2 and has even captained the team. On 14 April 2021 he was added to the club's B list for the Europa League and he made his first-team debut as a last-minute substitute, in the 2-1 win at Wolves in May 2021. He finished up on 21 appearances for the Under-23s in 2020/21, more than anybody else in the squad.
