A full international for Scotland by the age of 17, Emma Watson is an exciting young talent who brings energy and enthusiasm to United's midfield ranks.
After five years with Boroughmuir Thistle in her homeland, Watson joined Rangers’ Academy in 2017. Having worked her way through the Glasgow outfit's youth ranks, she was rewarded with her senior debut at the age of 15, during a 5-0 triumph over Motherwell in 2021. She was first capped for Scotland on 7 April 2023, in a 1-0 win over Australia. Four days later, Emma impressively netted a brace in a 4-0 victory against Costa Rica. On 25 August 2023, Watson signed for United but unfortunately suffered a knee injury while on international duty the following month, sidelining our no.34 for the entirety of her first season at the club. The midfielder was back on the grass before the campaign was out and, after continuing her hard work over the summer, she made her long-awaited United debut in November 2024’s League Cup victory away at Everton, playing the full 90 minutes. Emma has since spent time on loan with Everton, Crystal Palace and Tigres, in Mexico, to add to her growing experience at the top level.
