Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Patrick van Aanholt dislocated his shoulder in the aftermath of Anthony Martial’s goal. The Eagles’ left-back lay prone on the turf for an extended period of time and had to be given oxygen before he was stretchered off, meaning 11 minutes were added on at the end of the second period. "It’s a bad injury and it’s going to keep him out for a long period," Hodgson said. "They’ll look at it tomorrow [by running a scan] and find out what the next step will be for him. "I think he’ll require an operation and that’s bad news for us. Patrick has been solid for us, he’s had a good season, he's hardly missed any games and now we might start next season without him."
“It feels good. I’m happy to play for the club again, but I’m more happy that we got the win today. It was hard, it was hard. But that’s what you work such a long time for, all these months, for moments like this. This is football and anything can happen so you have to be ready, especially at a club like this. You have to be ready and I was ready for this moment.” *Read more from our interview with Tim on Friday morning..
“I wouldn’t call it an ugly win: the goals were special. But there were moments in the game where we were lucky to get away with it. The pressure was on and it was always going to be nervy with Leicester winning earlier on, but a clean sheet, two really good goals and that sets us up well for Chelsea on Sunday and for West Ham next week, who we really must beat.”

FT
Massive win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side! The first-half wasn't pretty, and for large spells the home side had us on the back foot, but brilliantly-crafted goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial mean we win a third consecutive league game on the road and move back level with Leicester City on 62 points. The maths are still simple: win our last two matches of the season, and we'll definitely have Champions League football to look forward to next season!
