"We always knew it was going to be a tough game physically but we just had to match that today, we just had to make sure we did and then play our football. That's where the first goal has come from and then we've fought to the end and got that penalty."
"It's a massive win for us. We knew it was going to be hard coming here but to get that clean sheet was very important. I think Marcus took his goal very well today and thankfully Bruno slotted in that pen at the end. Obviously, there's still a second leg, we have to concentrate on that next week but the important thing for us now is to recover and get ready for Sunday."
FT
"Hopefully they'll [the players that went off] be okay. Of course, Marcus was a bit sore [over the last few days], so we didn't want to aggravate that too much, but apart from that we should be okay."
FT
"Is there anyone I'd pick out? Yes, definitely, Victor. He kept us glued together. He was good on the ball, took command, and what a pass for the first goal! It was a fantastic goal all round. We've seen Marcus a few times bring it down like this. He had one before [against Sheffield United], I think, from a pass from Victor as well. Very, very happy with the way he took it."
FT
"It's a clean sheet and David wasn't really that troubled. There was moments in there that could have been chances but I thought we defended well when we had to and I think 2-0 is a good lead. Bruno's goal is a vital goal, because 2-0 is a big, big difference to 1-0."
FT
"A few minor things on the night. You're disappointed with the yellow cards. This tie isn't over and Ole will have to address the absentees next week."
FT
It's a big result without us ever hitting the heights of our best performances. We've come back with a really strong 2-0 victory and we're the favourites now, for sure. 2-0 away in Europe is always a great result. They didn't create many chances but we did grind it out a bit.

It's advantage United after the first leg in Andalusia. It wasn't a vintage display from the Reds, but we were certainly the better side and Fernandes's late penalty means United take a strong lead back to Old Trafford. De Gea was rarely troubled by the hosts thanks to a strong defensive display, one we'll need again next week in the second leg.

What a huge moment in the tie as Fernandes nets from the spot. It wasn't the best penalty from our no.18 and Silva managed to get a hand to the ball, although thankfully it squeezed through his hands and ended up in the back of the net.

The spot-kick is award for Brice's coming together with Fernandes in the box. The former then received a booking which will rule him out of the second leg.
