I think we started very brightly and Alexis did some great movement. He’s been great on the tour and he chased and harried defenders again. We got two really good goals and it was a game of two halves really. They managed to pull one back just before half-time and it was a bit of a rearguard action from United in the second half but we defended really well I thought.

We held firm and defended really well in the second half. Whenever Alexis got hold of the ball, he did brilliantly to hang on to possession which was important for us. It was good to see him doing so well.

I think we needed a win and a good performance after the poor display and defeat against Liverpool - and that's what we got. We got a better performance, particularly in the first half. We defended well at times in the second half. There are a lot of positives - Alexis was the Man of the Match. Fred was accomplished on the ball and it was good to see him in action. It was an all-round decent performance, which is what we needed.
