Arsenal’s Europa League last-16 tie with Sporting has gone to extra-time at the Emirates Stadium, with the sides drawing 1-1 on the night and 3-3 on aggregate. Granit Xhaka had put the Premier League side ahead this evening, but an eye-catching strike from Pedro Gonçalves, from close to the halfway line, levelled the scores up in the second half. Neither side could find a winner in the 90 minutes, meaning an additional period is now under way. The other seven round-of-16 ties, including United’s of course, have already been decided, and we now wait to see who will take the eighth and final spot in Friday’s quarter-final draw.

A professional display from the Reds in Seville ensures that we are into the last eight of the Europa League with a win on the night and in the tie against Real Betis. An entertaining first half ended level, but soon after the restart, a piece of Marcus Rashford magic edged us in front, and it was comfortable for Erik ten Hag's side following that. There were further chances to extend our lead, but it ends 1-0 at the Benito Villamarin Stadium after a successful night on the continent for our Reds.
