Sesko: That was unbelievable

Benjamin Sesko has labelled Old Trafford's roar “unbelievable” following his stoppage-time winner against Fulham.

A comfortable win had threatened to dissolve into a gutting draw, following a quickfire double from the Cottagers, courtesy of Raul Jimenez and Kevin, until the towering Slovenian had his say.

Three minutes on from the visitors' equaliser, with the celebrations in the away end not yet ceased, Sesko expertly controlled the ball inside Fulham's penalty area, spun round and curled a shot perfectly into the top corner of Bernd Leno's goal.

As the striker wheeled away to celebrate in front of the Stretford End, the noise of our incredible supporters was a sound to behold.

How did that feel, Benjamin?!video

“That was unbelievable,” Sesko said of the fans' reaction to MUTV, after the full-time whistle. “When I scored, I just didn't know what was going on.

”But yeah, what a moment. Amazing time to score it.“

The 22-year-old, of course, enjoyed adding a sixth goal to his United CV, but the bulk of that satisfaction comes from what it means to everyone at the club.

”It was emotional. It was amazing,“ he admitted.

“It feels like a pleasure, helping the team, helping the fans and the club to secure the win,” he added.

“Yeah, it's always nice to help the team, and score goals, obviously!”

Now sitting on three wins from three since Michael Carrick took charge, Sesko reports a natural harmony inside the dressing room, which he feels is thanks to more than just goals, important though they are.

“We work as one,” he told MUTV. “I mean, we always have done, but you know, it's bits by bits.

”And yeah, it just came together, especially off the ball. You can see the work-rate from everyone.

“It's benefitting us with the ball and off the ball, and, in the end, also with the results.”

Sesko and the rest of the Reds will be hoping to carry our momentum through into next week's assignment, against Tottenham Hotspur back at Old Trafford once more, in a 12:30 GMT kick-off on Saturday 7 February.
