When will Mbeumo make his debut?

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has told MUTV that Bryan Mbeumo is not being rushed into action at his new club.

The exciting forward, signed from Brentford, was not part of the squad for the 2-1 victory over West Ham United in New Jersey.

As he builds his fitness, being behind the rest of the group in that respect, Mbeumo is set to also miss our next Premier League Summer Series game, against Bournemouth, in Chicago.

However, Amorim hopes he can hand the Cameroon international his bow in next weekend's clash with Everton in Atlanta.

“Bryan is starting slowly,” said Amorim. “He is not going to play in the next one.

”We hope to have Bryan in the last game [in the United States]. He's training now, so we'll see.“

The boss also confirmed Joshua Zirkzee is recovering from a ”small issue“, while Noussair Mazraoui was absent due to a knock.

The contest with Bournemouth, who beat Everton 3-0, is taking place at Soldier Field.

It kicks off on Wednesday night in the US but Thursday morning at 02:30 BST in the UK, and is live on MUTV for subscribers not based in the States.
