Mbeumo: Bruno's ball was perfect!

Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo has paid noble thanks to team-mate Bruno Fernandes for his assist in our 2-0 win against Manchester City.

Bryan opened the scoring against the Blues in front of the Stretford End, latching onto a terrific pass from the skipper, finally beating Gianluigi Donnarumma, who had made some superb saves.

Finding the net for the eighth time this season, the ex-Brentford man couldn't hide his overall joy, speaking to both MUTV and Sky Sports after our satisfying win against Pep Guardiola's side.

Mbeumo: That was unbelievable!video

Quizzed on his goal by MUTV's Liam Bradford, our no.19 said:
“Obviously, when we come out from the high free-kick for them, there is a counter opportunity.

I know then they're not structured and [from there] I saw a big space and I just sprinted into it. Bruno [Fernandes] gave me the ball perfectly.“

Mbeumo has had a tiring stint away in Morocco, participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon.

But continuing to contribute with goals, the African attacker insisted our latest victory is one of his sweeter moments in a red shirt thus far, upon his return to the fold.

“I think it's one of them [best moments],”
began our 26-year-old forward.

“Scoring in front of this stand is unbelievable. The derby is even more [special] and like Licha [Martinez has] said, we used the energy of the fans today. This place was unbelievable today.”

“I think [it was] the team effort, like everyone was doing their jobs and everyone was defending,”
he added.

“Everyone was attacking. We've been a bit unlucky maybe with the offsides [as three goals were disallowed] and stuff, but yeah, I think it's a very good performance.”
