Coming soon: A special film on Tooney's journey!

Have you seen the brilliant photographs of the Lionesses squad training for Women’s Euro 2025 in the kits of their first junior clubs?

Our England trio Grace Clinton, Maya Le Tissier and Ella Toone all represented the teams that their footballing journeys started with in a special session earlier this week.

For Tooney, that meant pulling on the green and white of Astley and Tyldesley again as a salute to her first steps in the sport, something that you will be able to learn more about in a new short film out this week.

The fifth episode of Snapdragon's What Moves Me series is coming soon to our channels and centres around Ella’s remarkable journey from Tyldesley to the top of the women’s game.

Proudly, the United and England midfielder goes back to her home town to show you around and talk about the people and the places that mean the most to her.

That includes a trip to Squires Lane, the pitch that brings back many of Tooney’s first footballing memories, and The Union Arms pub, which now displays a unique mural of Ella celebrating her goal in the Euro 2022 final.
In the video, our no.7 is also filmed at Carrington to share an insight into her journey from the club’s youth ranks to the first team, while providing you with a front-row ticket to the behind-the-scenes work she does after training.

As well as that, Toone explains why she set up the ET7 Academy for young girls getting into football, as we head to Old Trafford to take in the recent Manchester derby through the eyes of the youngsters she hopes can follow in her footsteps.

All the Goals: Ella Toonevideo

The episode is an inspirational insight into United Women’s all-time record appearance-maker and goalscorer’s story so far and is shot entirely on Snapdragon-powered mobile devices.

You can be among the first to watch it when it drops in the United App and on ManUtd.com at 17:00 BST on Friday.
