Webber: Forest provides extra incentive

MUTV's Danny Webber believes Manchester United have the perfect chance to respond following our defeat against Fulham on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag's side are next in action on Wednesday evening, as we take on Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Having already been beaten at The City Ground this season in the Premier League, former Reds striker Webber believes United will have extra motivation to come away from Nottinghamshire with victory.

Matchday Review: United v Fulhamvideo

“I think it always is when you've got something to put right,”
began the 42-year-old via yesterday's edition of Matchday Review.

“You get the opportunity very soon to go out there and do a better job next time.”
Having already beaten Wigan Athletic and Newport County to reach this stage, the Reds are yet to play a home tie in this year's edition of England's oldest cup competition.

It is also worth noting Forest have won just two of their last eight games and most recently suffered a 4-2 away defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday.

“I think we have two things to put right, this performance [against Fulham] and the fact that when we went to Forest at the back end of last year, they beat us as well,”
Webber added.

“There should now be extra incentive, extra motivation and the fact that is our only remaining chance at silverware as well should be more than enough incentive to go out there a get the win.”
