Manchester United will return to competitive action after the World Cup on Wednesday 21 December, it has been confirmed.
That is when our Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Burnley at Old Trafford will be played, with the game kicking off at 20:00 GMT.
Sky Sports have selected the meeting for live coverage in the UK, just three days after the World Cup final is set to take place in Doha.
United secured progress to this stage with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Aston Villa at the Theatre of Dreams on Thursday night.
The visitors twice took the lead, through Ollie Watkins and a Diogo Dalot own goal, but the Reds roared back to come out on top, with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay all on the scoresheet.
The Championship-leading Clarets, who are managed by Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany, have knocked out Shrewsbury Town and Crawley Town so far and will be hoping for a top-flight scalp, given their recent good run of form and the fact they resume their league season with a trip to QPR on Sunday 11 December.
Elsewhere in the competition, Manchester City host Liverpool on Thursday 22 December (20:00 GMT kick-off), while high-flying Newcastle United face Bournemouth at St James' Park in the other all-Premier League tie.
Prior to the meeting with Burnley, the United players not involved at the World Cup will travel to Spain for friendlies with Cadiz and Real Betis, on 7 and 10 December respectively.
Our first Premier League outing following the domestic break is with Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, on Tuesday 27 December (20:00 GMT kick-off).
