FC Copenhagen will be without an experienced Denmark international with Premier League experience, when they take on Manchester United at Parken on Wednesday night.
The home side cannot call on striker Andreas Cornelius for the Champions League fixture, as he is ill. The 30-year-old played for Cardiff City in the English top flight in 2013/14, crossing paths for a short time with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, when the United legend was in charge of the Welsh outfit.
Local reports suggest Cornelius could be back for Sunday's league game with Brondby but he also missed the Old Trafford clash with the Reds.
“It was given in advance, two weeks ago, that he, with 99.9 per cent certainty, would not play in this match,”
said coach Jacob Neestrup, at his press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Neestrup is also without the services of William Clem, David Khocholava and Birger Meling.
Rasmus Hojlund's brother Oscar, who came on in the 1-0 reverse in Manchester last time out in the competition, is still in the senior group but his twin, Emil, is to feature in the UEFA Youth League encounter in the afternoon.
Seventeen-year-old Victor Froholdt, a left-winger, has been named in a 23-man squad, after his impressive work at Under-19s level.
