Benjamin Sesko became Manchester United’s latest addition when his transfer from RB Leipzig was confirmed at the beginning of August, but what have his new teammates made of him so far?
The towering Slovenian was recruited by the Reds to add some extra firepower along with fellow new faces Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, and is working towards his first start under Ruben Amorim as he's eased into life in England.
But he has, by now, spent plenty of time around his new squad mates at Carrington and travelling to games to give them a good idea of his character. Here's what his colleagues have made of the 22-year-old up to now...
Tom Heaton: “Really, really good lad, and straight away I’ve been impressed with him as a guy. Again, 22 years old, real, real good lad. That’s always the first thing you notice when you have them in the building before, and straight away I’ve been really impressed with him as a guy and how he’s gone about it. But yeah, real, real imposing presence, you know, six foot four, mobile, can score goals. So, yeah, I’d say probably an awful lot of excitement about what he can bring.

Diogo Dalot:“Very energetic. He has very good energy. He wants to learn a lot. He wants to help the team. You can feel that he has a lot of quality, of course, otherwise he wouldn’t be here, but at the same time, I can feel that he wants to start straight away, he wants to score goals, he wants to help the team. So, I like that energy on him, and hopefully he can help us a lot this season.”
Tyler Fredricson: “He looks good in the box, so yeah, he’s one to look out for. He’s got that presence about him: big lad. You can tell, I think he’s going to score some goals this season. He looks good in the box. I’ve seen a few things about what he can do, how high he can jump. But yeah, he looks a really good player.”
Harry Maguire: “He’s a unit for his age. I’m sure he’s going to cause a lot of defenders problems. He’s still young, but he’s got all the attributes to contribute to the team and to contribute to this club for many years to come, so we’ll give him our full backing and, fingers crossed, he scores many goals for us.”
Casemiro: “It’s clear he has quality. He is a player who is going to be very important for us. I hope that it goes really well for him, because if it goes well for him, he’s scoring goals for us! I’m sure he’s going to help us a lot with goals.“
Ayden Heaven:
“Yeah, he’s very quick, if I’m being honest. Good in the air as well. Strong. So, yeah, it’s pretty much what you need as a striker, and yeah, he’s got all of it."
Manuel Ugarte: “He has a lot of good energy. We are speaking on his first day, [but] I’ve already seen humility, with a lot of desire to learn and to win as well. Everyone on our team will have to help him settle in as much as possible so he’s comfortable, and we will help him.”
Matthijs de Ligt: “I think in England you call this ‘a handful’, like he’s a difficult striker to play against. He’s quick, he’s strong in the air, he’s always on the right spot in front of the goal, so I think he can be a really important player for us to help us score more goals, and yeah, I’m happy that he’s here.”
Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu:
“He looks really good, really good in front of the goal, so hopefully he will help us a lot this season.”
Kobbie Mainoo:
“When we were linked with him, I was excited. Really athletic, powerful and really good at finishing. So yeah, it’s been good so far.”
