Clinton nominated for award

Grace Clinton is in the running to land the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year award.

The Manchester United Women midfielder won this trophy in 2023/24, following a stellar loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur.

She returned to Marc Skinner's squad last summer, making her debut and scoring in a 3-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Her best-ever personal return of nine goals in 22 games earned the respect of her peers, as he is named on a six-strong shortlist.

Grace Clinton knows the way to goal!

Clinton, whose output has also been recognised with a place in the England squad at the upcoming European Championship, faces competition from three Chelsea stars, in addition to Manchester City's Mary Fowler and Liverpool top scorer Olivia Smith.

Aggie Beever-Jones, Maika Hamano and Weikie Kaptein are the players representing champions Chelsea.

The awards ceremony is taking place in Manchester on 19 August.

Good luck, Grace!
