International round-up: Casemiro fires for Brazil

There were seven Manchester United players on duty with their international sides across Saturday and Sunday morning.

Both Matheus Cunha and Casemiro started for Brazil in their match with Senegal, but the game brought little travelling for the pair, having been held at Arsenal's home ground, Emirates Stadium.

It ended in a 2-0 win for the Brazilians, with Casemiro netting the second goal in style, plucking a Rodrygo free-kick out of the sky on the edge of the six-yard box, before coolly curling it around former Chelsea man Edouard Mendy.

That goal added to Estevao's opener, with Cunha almost adding to the scoresheet when he nodded a Bruno Guimaraes header onto the bar.

Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu started for Denmark as the side drew 2-2 with Belarus in their Group C World Cup qualifier, with the 21-year-old playing the full 90 minutes in a starting XI that also contained former United midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The result saw the Danes end the penultimate matchday in first place, a point ahead of Scotland in the four-team group.

Paraguay took on the United States at Subaru Park in Pennsylvania, and lost 2-1, but young defender Diego Leon was an unused substitute for the game.

There were also watching briefs for goalkeepers Senne Lammens and Altay Bayindir, on duty with Belgium and Turkey respectively.

Turkey secured their second-place berth in Group E with a 2-0 over Bulgaria, but the Belgians were held to a draw against Kazakhstan.

Manuel Ugarte rounded off our international representation in the early hours of Sunday morning, remaining on the bench for a scoreless draw against Mexico.
