The Premier League clubs have agreed to an extraordinary transfer window during the summer.
The advent of the FIFA Club World Cup, which includes Chelsea and Manchester City, has led to an additional 10 days of business being allowed for all Premier League teams.
While, traditionally, the period for buying and selling players does not usually begin until July, Manchester United will be allowed to confirm deals from the start of June for a short-term period.
“Premier League clubs have today agreed the dates for the summer 2025 transfer window,”
said a statement.
“The window will open early, between Sunday 1 June and Tuesday 10 June, due to an exceptional registration period relating to the FIFA Club World Cup.
”It will then reopen on Monday 16 June and close on Monday 1 September.“
Hence, the window will shut for almost a week, only to reopen again and run all the way through to the start of September, when the 2025/26 season will already be off and running.
The fixtures for the new league campaign are expected to be released on 18 June, with the term due to begin on Friday 15 or Saturday 16 August.
United confirmed the first two signings of the Ruben Amorim era during the winter window, securing the services of Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu and Ayden Heaven before the deadline.
More incoming and outgoing activity is obviously anticipated during the close season.
