Reds working hard in Dubai

The Manchester United players enjoyed the first day of training in Dubai on Monday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer put his squad through their paces at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.

The Reds arrived in the Middle East early on Sunday morning following a fifth straight win under Solskjaer - the 2-0 victory over Reading to ensure a spot in the Emirates FA Cup fourth-round draw, which takes place on Monday evening.

Solskjaer had spoken ahead of the warm weather training camp about the importance of getting some solid fitness work in to ensure the players are in the best possible condition for the second half of the season, and this began in earnest on Monday afternoon in the Dubai sun.
After some light running and a session of 'boxes', where two players stand in the middle of a group trying to intercept the ball while the main group play one-touch football around the duo, the squad did some further ball work before embarking on a mini-game. Those who started in Saturday's FA Cup victory took part in some recovery work at the same time.

Academy starlets James Garner, Angel Gomes, Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong are also on the trip and will gain further vital experience working so closely with the first team and spending time with them off the pitch.

The Reds will take part in another session at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex on Tuesday.
