United v Colchester: Essential match info

Manchester United welcome Colchester United to Old Trafford on Wednesday with a place in the final four of the Carabao Cup at stake.

With a penalty shootout win over Rochdale, and a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the last round already in the bag, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are hoping to reach the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since the 2016/17 campaign, when we went on to lift the trophy at Wembley.

As for our visitors from League Two, Colchester are the lowest ranked club left in the Carabao Cup, but have already claimed two scalps on their way to the quarter-finals, with wins against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur, and John McGreal's side will be eager to reach the last four for the first time in their history.

Here's the key information ahead of Wednesday's game...
