As the hardest man in all the town, Wes Brown never loses his cool – and that was evident on Wednesday night when the Manchester United legend was caught up in a storm.
“I am a boxing fan, but to be fair I have heard about this fight off my kids,”said Wes upon arrival. “I think it will be a good fight. I know KSI is a YouTuber and I have seen a couple of his fights, he’s done very well, but I still expect Tommy to pull through and come through with it.”
“I am feeling absolutely fantastic,”he said. “It's the best shape of my life, 10 weeks of solid training and I am ready to devour this man. On Saturday night, all of the talking is done. He can talk as much as he wants now, but come Saturday it is over for KSI and he is joining Jake Paul as a beaten fighter.”
Always professional, always cool, Wes watched on calmly and admitted afterwards that such escalations were common in his legendary career – with one person in particular being culpable.
Our interview with Tommy was unfortunately cut short as tempers flared nearby.
“One hundred per cent, in a split second you can just lose your temper a little bit,”
he laughed. “Wayne Rooney was probably the best at that!
“You could see there, the tension, and the fight is getting closer. KSI was just above us there, just a few metres, and that was madness, so we wish Tommy all the best after that.”
Tommy Fury v KSI takes place on Saturday night, live on DAZN.
