The wait is over and Jadon Sancho is officially a Manchester United player.
When Jadon pulls on the Reds' new 2021/22 home shirt for the first time in a match, fans will notice he is a big enthusiast for body art - assuming he wears the short-sleeved version, of course.
Tattoos are, of course, common among footballers nowadays, with Sancho’s England and new United team-mate Marcus Rashford covered by inked designs, including a striking huge lion over his heart.

In our first interview with the Reds' new signing, we asked which design meant most to him and he pointed to his left forearm, which bears a poignant tribute to a family member.
The poem reads: You and me will stay together, you made us happy, you brought us joy, you were a special baby boy. I couldn't wait till you grew up, teach you football and win the cup. But you're gone what can I do? Baby brother, we love you.
“The rest around [the poem] are birds, heaven, an angel, a butterfly and then I have my sister’s and my brother’s initials,” he added.
“This is my first one and the most meaningful one because my little brother passed away when he was younger. When I was in primary school, I wrote a poem that I read at the funeral, so this is definitely my most meaningful one,”Jadon told us.

While Sancho’s left arm is a personal nod to family, the right is a more colourful gathering of cartoon characters – and watch this space because he admits the collection will grow further.
“Then here I kind of freestyled because I liked comics when I was younger,“ said Jadon.
“This isn’t finished yet – obviously there’s Spiderman, Sonic, The Simpsons…I haven’t finished yet so there’s more to come.”
Let’s hope we can see those arms raised in celebration at Old Trafford as soon as possible.
