Rashford's funny response to Ferdinand’s Lloris tweet

Despite Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Spurs at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, Marcus Rashford clearly rued the performance of Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, whose saves kept the scoreline down to a two-goal deficit and spared his side any further blushes.

In the second half, when Marcus cut inside and blasted the ball towards the far corner, he must have thought he'd scored, only for Lloris to dive to his left and produce a remarkable stop.

Rashford's reaction told the story, with the striker astounded at the speed the Frenchman reacted to deny him, and it wasn't for the first time in the game.

Following the match, former Red Rio Ferdinand tweeted: “Lloris got something against Marcus,” to which our no.10 responded this morning: “Serious bro,” with a crying with laughter emoji.

Rashford was no doubt frustrated by Lloris, but he was also pleased that United came out on top and earned a valuable three points in the Premier League.

The striker posted an image of the Reds celebrating Fred’s opener on Twitter, with the words:

“Solid team performance. Let’s try and build on this.”

Marcus wasn’t the only Red who was active on social media following the important victory over Antonio Conte’s side, with 10 of our starting XI sharing their pride on Twitter or Instagram.
