Manchester United players are expressing their condolences following the announcement from Buckingham Palace that Her Majesty, The Queen, has passed away.
In a statement on Thursday evening, the club recognised her immense contribution to public life, including sport, both here in the United Kingdom, across the Commonwealth, and around the world.
Everyone connected with United has joined the wider football family in sending our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to The Royal Family.
Our Europa League match against Real Sociedad went ahead following direction from the FA and UEFA, and a minute's silence was held before kick-off. Both teams wore black armbands and the stadium flags were also at half-mast.
It was announced on Friday morning that the next round of Premier League fixtures, including United's trip to Crystal Palace, have all been postponed as a mark of respect.
