How we're tackling violence against women and girls

Manchester United is committed to ensuring that Old Trafford is a welcoming environment for all supporters.

At this Saturday’s Manchester derby, we are teaming up with Greater Manchester Police and several partners across Greater Manchester in a combined effort to tackle violence against women and girls.

From 10:00 to 13:00 GMT, supporters can head to a pop-up stall outside the Sir Alex Ferguson stand (entrance to the Museum) to speak with safeguarding staff and find out more about recognising the signs of violence and what to do if you witness it.

Supporters are encouraged to use the Virtual Steward Service to raise any concerns at the stadium. Simply text ACTION to 66777 followed by the stand, row and seat of the offender and the nature of the problem. Please note, this is an anonymised service; you will not be identified at any time.

Saturday's pop-up stall is part of a wider campaign on matchday with British Transport Police and Network Rail at Piccadilly Station, and TfGM and Trafford Council activating at Old Trafford Metrolink Stop.

Further pop-up stalls will feature along the route that a typical matchgoing fan may make to Old Trafford, including:

Representatives from GMP will be on hand to speak with fans, answer questions, and signpost to further help. Club safeguarding staff will also be available at the pop-up stall at Old Trafford Stadium and we encourage supporters to visit them to learn about the support we offer.

For more information, visit the NPCC and follow GMP on social media.
