FA Cup final tickets subsidised for Under-16s

Manchester United will contribute £30 to the cost of every Emirates FA Cup final ticket purchased for our under-16 season ticket holders, meaning young fans can attend the season finale at Wembley from just £5.

The ticket subsidy, which is in addition to the £10 reduction the FA applies, adds to a range of club policies to make following United as accessible as possible for younger fans, including a 50 per cent discount for under-16s across all areas of Old Trafford, as well as youth season tickets being priced at just £16 per game.

At last season’s FA Cup final, the club gifted fans a free bucket hat and for the Carabao Cup final victory against Newcastle fans received a free scarf. Both gifts were designed and manufactured to last and not only became a souvenir of the day but also turned Wembley red in support of the team.

“Promoting and investing in youth is part of the fabric of this football club and we are proud to offer more support to our young fans.”

Rick McGagh, Director of Fan Engagement

Ahead of the final against Manchester City on 25 May, it was unanimously agreed between the club and the Fans’ Forum that there was an opportunity to do something different to demonstrate the importance of our youth following, as well as help families who will have recently paid for semi-final tickets and travel, with season ticket renewals also under way.

Rick McGagh, Director of Fan Engagement, said: “Every young football fan dreams of seeing their team win the FA Cup at Wembley.

“Working alongside the Fans’ Forum, we are delighted to make this dream a more affordable reality for our under 16 season ticket holders by subsidising their tickets so they can attend for as little as £5.

“Promoting and investing in youth is part of the fabric of this football club and we are proud to offer more support to our young fans. We know two trips to Wembley – and three for those also attending the women’s FA Cup final - in the space of a month is expensive for all fans, but especially so for young fans who usually attend with other family members. We look forward to having lots of our young supporters cheering the team on at Wembley.”

Next season, there will also be a dedicated youth section in the Stretford End with 500 seats available at just £16 per game. The club is also supporting the expansion of the Manchester United Youth Supporters Club which already has over 1500 members aged between 16-25.

The FA Cup final will take place against Manchester City on 25 May, kicking off at 15:00 BST.
