Manchester United's Under-21 side beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 on Saturday afternoon to ensure another three points in Premier League 2.
A hat-trick from Gabriele Biancheri and a wondergoal from Diego Leon made sure of the brilliant victory at the Progress with Unity Stadium.
Spurs did grab a goal back just before the half-time whistle sounded, with Callum Olusesi netting for the visitors.
Our latest success ensures the young Reds remain top of the table after seven games played so far this term.
FIRST HALF
United had to withstand early Spurs pressure in the opening stages of the contest in Leigh, with Oliver Irow first of all forcing a smart stop from Dermot Mee.
Next up was Luca Williams-Barnett to have a go at goal, with his effort sailing over the cross bar, as the visitors began the game with purpose.
Shea Lacey quickly put his stamp on things with a reverse pass in behind the Spurs backline, with Biancheri blasting an effort that stung the palms of Luca Gunter.
But we took the lead with 16 minutes on the clock, as Lacey again picked out Biancheri, who needed just two touches before dispatching into the net for the opener.
Jacob Devaney was called into action to keep our slender lead intact as the first half ebbed on, with his goal line clearance preventing Pele Arganese-McDermott's header.
At the other end, the Lilywhites cheaply handed the ball back to us as our high press paid dividends with 28 on the clock. Jack Fletcher saw his effort also cleared off the line.
But it was two soon after, with a compelling team move for Travis Binnion's side resulting in James Scanlon sliding a ball across the goalmouth for Biancheri to notch his second of the game.
The scoring wasn't done in the first period, however, as United failed to clear our lines. Olusesi prodded home to again reduce our lead to just one.
SECOND HALF
As the second half, Leon drove forward onto the Spurs backline before letting an effort fly, which didn't trouble Gunter.
But Wayne Burnett's side could do nothing to stop Leon soon after, scoring the pick of the bunch at the Progress with Unity Stadium.
Our young Paraguayan drove forward from his own half, beating two players in the process, before applying the finishing touches to score a brilliant solo goal.
Scanlon then hit the frame of the goal as our pressure continued, as his cross looked certain to be converted by substitute Chido Obi, if not for an intervention from the woodwork.
Obi almost made an impact as Jack Fletcher's cross was met by the young Dane, who couldn't add the requisite connection.
Another sublime pass from Jack Fletcher should have been converted by Biancheri on 79 minutes, but there was still one more chance to be had.
But not before the Lilywhites were reduced to ten, as Malachi Hardy was shown a second yellow card for hauling down Obi.
The scoring was then complete in added time, as Biancheri notched his hat-trick, and our fourth, with a brilliant finish, as he tapped home Jack Fletcher's latest ball into the box.
