United Women's travelling squad: Wolfsburg (A)

Manchester United Women head coach Marc Skinner has named a 19-player travelling squad for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League tie away to Wolfsburg.

The Reds trained at a wet and windy Carrington this morning (Tuesday) before boarding the flight to Germany, for the fourth of our sixth league-phase fixtures.

Head coach Marc Skinner is due to hold a pre-match press conference alongside ex-Wolfsburg and now-United defender Dominique Janssen this evening, at the Volkswagen Arena, the venue for Wednesday's game.

Preview: Wolfsburg v United Women

Janssen is in the 19-strong squad, which also includes midfielder Simi Awujo, who suffered a nasty looking bump to the head in the closing stages of Saturday's Manchester derby but trained earlier and is fit to be involved again.

Ella Toone received lengthy treatment for a scrape down her Achilles at the Etihad Stadium but, as expected, is fine too and ready for Wednesday's clash.

It shouldn't be long before Phallon Tullis-Joyce is back in action, but the goalkeeper hasn't made the trip to Germany due to the facial knock that has kept her out of the team's last two matches.

Defender Millie Turner and forward Celin Bizet Donnum have stayed in Manchester to continue recovering from their injuries.

WOLFSBURG'S TEAM NEWS

Germany internationals Sophia Kleinherne and Vivien Endemann are in contention to come back from their spells on the sidelines, having been given the green light by the Wolfsburg medical team.

The pair were cleared before Saturday's cup win over Freiburg but didn't feature in a game that midfielder Smilla Vallotto missed too, due to illness. It remains to be seen if Vallotto will be fit for Wednesday.

Two players that United will have to be wary of are Lineth Beerensteyn and Alexandra Popp, who are among the joint-leading goalscorers in this season's Frauen-Bundesliga, with six strikes apiece.
