Under-18s live on MUTV this Saturday

It is a double-header of action for the Manchester United Academy on Saturday with the Under-23s and the Under-18s in action.

The games both kick off at noon BST and you will have the opportunity to see Travis Binnion’s Under-18s live on MUTV

The younger age group travel to Birmingham City to face the Blues in our first group-stage fixture of this season’s Premier League Cup.

Build-up from the hosts’ Trillion Trophy Training Centre will begin from 11:45 BST on MUTV ahead of the game between two sides that have been paired in a group alongside West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Young Reds making up for lost time

The tournament makes its return this season having not taken place in 2020/21 due to COVID-19, and the Reds will be looking to make a swift start from the first of our three fixtures in this phase, with the table toppers and the two best second-placed teams across the six groups advancing to the competition’s quarter-finals.

Our Under-18s also go into the game hoping to build on momentum from a 3-0 victory over Leeds United, last time out in the league.

Elsewhere, Neil Wood’s Under-23s continue our Premier League 2 campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion the visitors to Leigh Sports Village.

The young Reds will continue the search for a first victory of the new season when the Seagulls make the trip up north, off the back of several battling performances in the opening weeks.

Brighton have made an impressive start to the campaign and are currently level on points with league leaders Manchester City at the top of the Division 1 table, having registered three wins and a draw from their first four matches.

Under-23 fixture changes

This game will not be shown live on MUTV, however, but highlights will be available later in the day.

There will also match reports from both fixtures available to read on the United App and at ManUtd.com shortly after the respective final whistles.

Good luck to both of our senior Academy sides on Saturday.
