United's Youth Cup date confirmed

Manchester United will begin our defence of the FA Youth Cup with a date in the capital this weekend.

Travis Binnion's Under-18s were drawn away to Crystal Palace in the third round of this season's competition.

The game has now been scheduled for Sunday 11 December at Selhurst Park, kicking off at 15:00 GMT.

Tickets are priced £5 for adults and £1 for concessions, and, for those who cannot attend, we will be showing the game live on MUTV.

As a result of the fixture being arranged for this weekend, Saturday's Under-18 Premier League match against Everton has been postponed.

The Toffees clash will now take place on Saturday 11 March, at Carrington (11:00 GMT kick-off).

United won the trophy for a record 11th time last term, when Nottingham Forest were defeated 3-1 in the final at Old Trafford.

Rhys Bennett and Alejandro Garnacho (2) scored the goals, in front of a bumper crowd of 67,492 at the Theatre of Dreams back in May.

The Reds famously beat Palace in the 1992 final, winning 6-3 on aggregate with a youth team containing the likes of Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs.
