Rashford praises United's desire after Liverpool win

Marcus Rashford believes that Manchester United's desire was the difference maker in our important 2-1 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Rashford scored United's second goal in the second half, adding to Jadon Sancho's composed finish in the first to seal the win for Ten Hag's side.

Speaking to Sky Sports following our victory, the dynamic forward heaped praise on the work-rate and determination of his team-mates.

“We started the game at a higher tempo,” he said. “We tired towards the end but we kept going and we just stuck at it.

”They got a goal back and we didn’t fold, we kept defending well. It was an enjoyable game to play in.”

The 24-year-old also addressed the tactical change issued by his manager at half-time, when Ten Hag called upon Anthony Martial to replace Anthony Elanga, moving Rashford to the wide left.

He said: “I think with the versatility we have in the team we can do many different things, especially in attack. The game was going well in the first half, we [were] attacking some good spaces but we weren’t quite getting the end product that I felt we deserved in the first half.

“For us to be able to switch and chop and change positions like that is always a positive.”
