Mazraoui: He is a great example

Noussair Mazraoui believes one of his Manchester United team-mates has perfectly illustrated an ability to adapt to Ruben Amorim's tactical system.

Ahead of Sunday's away game at Bournemouth, the Morocco international spoke with Premier League Productions and was asked if he felt the players were getting used to the way Amorim wants to play.

Nous provided a telling answer, replying: “Yes, I think a big example of that is Leny [Yoro]. How he started off as this left centre-back and how he is doing now.

”He has really improved. The way he is taking the ball, he is carrying the ball a lot more, it's a little bit where we want to go and end eventually.“

Leny Yoro has been getting better and better this season.

Yoro had a delayed start to his competitive United career, after picking up an injury in pre-season, but has acquitted himself well since making his Premier League debut in December, at Arsenal.

The Frenchman scored his first goal for the club in the recent Europa League quarter-final away tie at Lyon and is continuing to look a shrewd investment for the future.

Mazraoui, meanwhile, made his 50th appearance for the Reds, since signing from Bayern Munich, in the home game with Wolves last time out.

He admitted he likes to play both as part of the three-man defence and as a wing-back, after showing his versatility throughout his maiden campaign in Manchester.

“I think I have great qualities in defence, as well as in attacking, so I think right centre-back suits me at this moment really well,” he explained. “But I like to play wing-back from time to time, just to really attack, you know.”
