Only once in Premier League history have Manchester United given more minutes to youngsters aged 21 or under.
Erik ten Hag turned to youth as the Reds suffered injury problems and was rewarded in magnificent fashion with the Emirates FA Cup final win over Manchester City providing an exhilarating conclusion to our campaign.
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo scored the goals, both members of the 2022 FA Youth Cup-winning team, and plenty of others made their presence felt over the course of the league season.
The 128 league appearances accumulated by Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, Mainoo, Amad, Willy Kambwala, Facundo Pellistri, Hannibal, Omari Forson, Ethan Wheatley and Dan Gore has only been bettered in the 1995/96 term. That vintage side may have been led by Eric Cantona but the homegrown talent flourished, as the Class of '92 matured into top-class performers for Alex Ferguson's men.
Some 174 league games were amassed by the likes of David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers, as we beat Liverpool to win the FA Cup and do the Double for the second time in our history, after clinching the title with a final-day victory at Middlesbrough.

The 128 figure was also registered in the 2005/06 campaign, when Sir Alex's team finished runners-up in the Premier League but lifted the League Cup, providing the springboard for more success to follow.
Such a reliance on youth should only again bode well for the future at Old Trafford.

2005/06: 128

A total of 22 goals were also contributed by the aforementioned youngsters in the current squad during our league fixtures. While this is some way short of the high of 30 in the Premier League era, from 2006/07, again it generates great optimism for what lies ahead.
Top scorer Hojlund led the way in this regard, of course, but Garnacho, Mainoo, Amad and Hannibal all found the net in the Premier League.
It was only the third time this has happened, matching the feat in 2005/06 (Wayne Rooney, Giuseppe Rossi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kieran Richardson and Darren Fletcher) and 2008/09 (Nani, Rafael, Danny Welbeck, Federico Macheda and Darron Gibson).
