Ruben names Europa League final team

Ruben Amorim has made the big decisions by finalising his Manchester United starting XI for the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

The boss must have carefully pondered his team for the all-important clash at San Mames in Bilbao, which kicks off at 20:00 BST.

There is good news regarding Leny Yoro, as the young Frenchman has recovered from the injury sustained in the home game against West Ham United recently. As a result, he takes his place in the three-man defence, probably alongside Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

It is possible Noussair Mazraoui could be at the back, which would mean Shaw operating on the left and Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu switching to the right.

Bruno Fernandes is tasked with starting in a deeper midfield position, alongside European competition past master Casemiro, who scored in both legs of the semi-final against this stadium's hosts Athletic Club.

Amad and Mason Mount will operate behind centre-forward Rasmus Hojlund.

It means there are a number of excellent options off the bench, including forwards Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee, plus defender Diogo Dalot, who has been out since the Premier League home contest with Wolves, over a month ago. Jonny Evans's last minutes came when he scored against Spurs in the Carabao Cup last December.

All in all, it is just one change from the XI that started against Chelsea last time out, with Yoro replacing Victor Lindelof.

United: Onana; Yoro, Maguire, Shaw; Mazraoui, Casemiro, Fernandes (c), Dorgu; Amad, Mount; Hojlund.

Substitutes: Bayindir, Amass, Dalot, Evans, Heaven, Lindelof, Collyer, Eriksen, Mainoo, Ugarte, Garnacho, Zirkzee.
