Under-21s Preview: Fulham v United

Manchester United's Under-21s return to action this Friday night when we take on Fulham in the Premier League 2.

The young Reds are looking to kick off 2023 wth a positive performance in the first of our five games at this level during January.

Kick-off at Motspur Park, the Cottagers' training ground, is scheduled for 19:00 GMT. Unfortunately the game won't be shown live on MUTV due to a clash with Erik ten Hag's first team, who face Everton at Old Trafford one hour later.

You can, however, get half-time and full-time summaries on the game in the United App.

Dempsey: It’s all a learning curve

Despite not being having a fixture since the Premier League International Cup game against PSV Eindhoven on 19 December, some players from the Under-21 squad have been in and around first-team training with several of them benefiting from the winter camp during the World Cup earlier that month.

Kobbie Mainoo, Charlie Savage, Charlie McNeill and Shola Shoretire were among those players who spent time on the Spanish coast with Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff.

Rhys Bennett was on the bench for the senior side's recent home wins over Burnley and Nottingham Forest, while Mainoo was selected among the substitutes away to Wolves.
