Under-21s to play Real Madrid at Old Trafford

Manchester United's Under-21s will host Real Madrid at Old Trafford, in the quarter-finals of the Premier League International Cup.

It's a mouthwatering clash for Adam Lawrence's young side, after we finished second in Group D, behind Borussia Dortmund, to qualify for the last eight.

Victories over Athletic Club and Borussia Dortmund, at Old Trafford, and a win against Sporting at Leigh, were ultimately enough for us to reach the knockout rounds for the first time since the 2018/19 season.

Real, whose senior youth team play in the third tier of Spanish football, escaped a group containing the likes of Manchester City, Monaco and PSV Eindhoven to set up the tie.

They will now visit M16 on Tuesday 7 April, with the fixture kicking off at 19:00 BST.

Tickets for the game are now available to buy here, and MUTV will also be covering all the action live, for those who can't make it.

United v Real Madrid is one of the great European ties and the clubs have met at Old Trafford on five occasions previously, with each winning twice.
