Early data in our United Predictions game shows that fans are backing Jadon Sancho to score against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, just like he did last season.
Sancho has scored three goals so far this campaign and it is fair to say he is one of the first names on the manager’s team sheet. And after spending the international break at Carrington, working meticulously on his game, Jadon is expected to retain his place in the line-up against City.
Last season’s trip to the Etihad Stadium may have been one to forget of course following a disappointing defeat, but Sancho’s goal was genuinely impressive and he will hope to contribute in a similar fashion this weekend, albeit as part of a much better team performance and result.

Ahead of the match, we’ve been asking for your opinions via the United Predictions game in our app and the early submissions are providing an interesting insight into the mood.
In the ‘First Scorer’ category, Sancho is the marginal favourite with 26 per cent of the predictions made. Marcus Rashford is a close second on 24 per cent, followed by summer signing Antony.
Could that be the forward line? We’ll find out when the teams are announced at 13:00 BST on Sunday.
The ‘Correct Score’ category is perhaps where it gets most interesting with supporters a little split. A majority of 32 per cent are backing a 2-1 win to United and the second most popular outcome is an entertaining 2-2 draw. What sounds like a classic 3-2 away win is third on 10 per cent.
