Wanted: Your vote for Goal of the Month

Manchester United's Goal of the Month poll for October could prove to be a close-run contest with a number of efforts that may well resurface when it comes to the annual accolade next May.

Anthony Martial's terrific opener against Everton is just one example, while Mason Greenwood's scorcher at Leicester City is also featured in our 13-strong shortlist.

As ever, the contenders come from all of the sides we cover on ManUtd.com and the Official App, so make sure you look out for several entries from away trips to the North East - Ella Toone's torpedo for our women's team in the Continental Cup tie at Durham, Zidane Iqbal's cracker against Sunderland Under-21s in the Papa John's Trophy, and Sam Murray scoring direct from a corner when our Under-18s beat Newcastle United 5-0.

Iqbal's driller into the bottom left-hand corner against Atalanta in the UEFA Youth League gives him another place in our poll, while the senior meeting between the teams later that day in the Champions League serves up another pair of possibles for your pick.

Marcus Rashford's finish across the keeper from Bruno Fernandes's first-time pass, teeing up the Reds for that remarkable 3-2 comeback, is on the list as is the winning goal in that game. It's the only header in this month's compilation, planted home by Cristiano Ronaldo from Luke Shaw's sweeping left-wing cross.

Unsurprisingly, our newly crowned Player of the Month for October has another entry in the running for Goal of the Month and yes, it's his wonderful volley that's still very fresh in the memory from Saturday's 3-0 win over Spurs.

After back-to-back notches by Ronaldo, we round off with a goal he created for his fellow elder statesman, Edinson Cavani, during the second half in north London.

Also up for consideration in our video and poll above are Shola Shoretire polishing off a flowing Under-23s team move against Blackburn at Leigh Sports Village and, from the same game, Anthony Elanga's curled winner.

And while the result of the match naturally left us feeling deflated, Rashford's equaliser in the eventual 4-2 defeat at Leicester, when he latched on  to Victor Lindelof's left-foot pass that went straight down the fairway, was a thing of beauty in isolation.
