Vote for March's Player of the Month

This is your chance to vote for Manchester United's Player of the Month in March, as presented by Tiger Beer.

With Ruben Amorim's side not in action again until 1 April, when travelling to high-flying Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, we're taking the opportunity to crown the latest winner of our monthly award.

Captain Bruno Fernandes is in red-hot form and hoping to follow up his success in February's voting but there is some tough competition from imposing centre-back Matthijs de Ligt and classy midfielder Casemiro.

Read our summary of the three nominees' contributions in this period and then please cast your vote using the poll.

Poll: Who is your star man for March?

CASEMIRO - 3 (2) apps

The Brazilian midfielder has been back to his best and earned praise from Amorim for his composed displays. Speaking after the second-leg win over Real Sociedad in the Europa League, the boss commented: “I think he did a great exhibition - not just this last game, the others too. I think he was really important in the moment for us.”

Showing his passion for the fight and continuing to earn the acclaim of the supporters, he received a deserved ovation when being substituted against the Spanish side and there is no doubting his influence over this spell.

Snapping into tackles and using his experience to read situations perfectly, he is using his nous to good effect in the engine room.

MATTHIJS DE LIGT - 5 apps

The Dutchman's warrior-like performances have been commended in all quarters as he has really stepped up to the plate in the absence of fellow centre-back Harry Maguire.

There have been some outstanding last-ditch interventions, such as one that springs to mind against Arsenal on Gabriel Martinelli and the goal-saving block to prevent Leicester City getting on the scoresheet through Facundo Buonanotte.

While his goal against Ipswich Town came towards the end of February, it is his defensive acumen, and the ability to help guide youngsters such as Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven, that have gone a long way to earning him a place on the shortlist.

This tackle on Gabriel Martinelli sums up how Matthijs de Ligt puts everything on the line.

BRUNO FERNANDES - 5 apps / 6 gls / 2 assists

We're running out of superlatives to describe the current form of our brilliant no.8. The skipper started the month with the equaliser against Fulham in the Emirates FA Cup and, although it ultimately proved in vain, he did also convert his penalty in the shootout.

Although unlucky to be pulled up for handball in our box during the away tie at Real Sociedad, and having an effort cleared off the line in San Sebastian, he took centre stage again, against Arsenal, by firing a memorable free-kick past David Raya at the Stretford End.

Bruno produced a virtuoso display in the home leg of the Europa League last 16, bagging his second hat-trick since joining the club from Sporting. Two came from the spot, before he added a precise finish to Alejandro Garnacho's well-timed through ball.

In the 3-0 win at Leicester City last time out, he supplied assists for both Rasmus Hojlund and Garnacho before providing the coup de grace with a thumping drive for the late third.

We'll never tire of watching Bruno Fernandes's free-kick against the Gunners.
