Watch United U21s live this weekend

Manchester United fans will be able to tune in to watch live action of our Under-21s side this weekend, with coverage on MUTV, ManUtd.com and the United App.

The young Reds are set to take on Brighton & Hove Albion's Under-21s at Leigh Sports Village, bidding to build on a late victory over League Two outfit Barrow in the EFL Trophy earlier this week.

Our live coverage will begin at 12:45 BST, with team news also delivered to you via our App beforehand. Subscribers to MUTV will then be able to tune in to catch the full 90 minutes.

The game kicks off at 13:00 BST, with an aim of registering a first win of our current Premier League 2 campaign.

'The Barrow game was brilliant for us'

Our Under-18s are also in action, with kick-off in our Premier League Cup tie with Newcastle United set for the earlier time of 12:30 BST.

That game is set to take place at Carrington, where we will also endeavour to bring you updates, as well as a photo gallery and match highlights later on Saturday afternoon.

Following an emphatic 6-1 victory last weekend against Blackburn Rovers, United lead coach Travis Binnion will no doubt hope to follow up with an equally impressive performance against the Magpies.

As for the Under-21s, midfielder Zidane Iqbal was happy his side emerged with a late winner at Holker Street on Tuesday evening, before being part of the travelling squad for the first-team game at Omonia Nicosia.

''I’m glad that the team won. Three points and [we’re] through to the next round against a tough side, near the top of League Two, and it’s always difficult coming away,'' he told MUTV, following our 2-1 triumph in Cumbria.

''It was a different type of game, we grinded and got the three points, which is all that matters.”
