Garnacho wins November 2022 Goal of the Month award

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho is the winner of our November 2022 Goal of the Month prize.

Your votes see Alejandro cap off a memorable month, in which he also won the club’s Player of the Month accolade.

The 18-year-old’s last-gasp winner away to Fulham, in the men’s team’s final game before the World Cup break, topped the official poll with 55 per cent of the vote.

Alejandro was introduced from the bench at Craven Cottage in the 72nd minute with the Reds chasing a winner in the closing stages.

As the game reached the third and final minute of stoppage time, Garnacho burst inside from the left flank, playing a one-two with Christian Eriksen and latching on to the Dane’s through ball, which he expertly controlled to finish past the goalkeeper.

The overall move was very impressive on the eye, having been one that went from back to front through the team, making it a particularly satisfying winner of our latest Goal of the Month award.
Coming second place to it in our poll was actually Alejandro’s other goal in November, the winner away to Real Sociedad.

That precise finish into the top corner in Spain received 20 per cent of the vote and is one that the young Red will remember forever, as his first senior strike.

Third and fourth place went to efforts from Marcus Rashford (8%) and Scott McTominay (7%) respectively against Aston Villa in the League Cup win at Old Trafford.

Alessia Russo’s stoppage-time decider for United Women at Arsenal was picked by four per cent of voting supporters.

Thank you to everyone who voted.
