Manchester United Women will make the short trip to Burnley on Sunday hoping to progress to the fifth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.
It will also be an opportunity for Casey Stoney’s side to get back to winning ways after a disappointing run which has seen us lose two of our last three games.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of the match…
The game, which kicks off at 14:00 BST on Sunday afternoon, is being shown live on MUTV but due to competition rules, this will only be available for subscribers who are watching in the UK.
FORM GUIDE
It has been a difficult season for United post-Christmas in the WSL, with defeats against several sides near the top of the table. We last tasted victory against West Ham United on 27 March, when goals from Lauren James and Christen Press helped us to a 2-0 win. This weekend's game will be the Reds’ first match of the FA cup campaign.
As for the hosts, Burnley are currently eighth in the National League Northern Premier Division, although they have played fewer games than most teams in the league.
TEAM NEWS
Tobin Heath, Ivana Fuso and Leah Galton are still out with long-term injuries, while Alessia Russo isn’t expected to be back in time for the encounter.
FA CUP HISTORY
This is our third season playing in the competition. In our first campaign, 2018/19, we made it past Brighton & Hove Albion and Lewes before eventually being eliminated by Reading at the quarter-final stage, coming out on the wrong side of an entertaining 3-2 affair. Meanwhile, last season we lost by the same scoreline against eventual champions Manchester City in the fourth round.
