Three things we spotted in Wednesday's workout

The players trained for two straight hours in the heat on Wednesday morning, under the watchful eye of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaches.

OLE POURS WATER ON JESSE – 0:29

It was another boiling-hot day in Surrey, and the players were glad for any refreshment they could get in between exercises. We certainly enjoyed the boss catching Jesse by surprise anyway – although we think our no.14 would have preferred to be on the end of a full bottle!

WAN-BISSAKA’S LEAPING CLEARANCE – 0.37

‘Yes, Azza!’ screamed the players and coaching staff after this intervention during one of the training games. Our right-back has become well-known for putting a foot in to prevent opposition wingers from cutting inside, but this flying header to prevent Brandon Williams’s cross from falling to Axel Tuanzebe at the far post was something else…

WHAT A FINISH, CHONGY! – 0.44

The final exercise on Wednesday saw the lads encouraged to shoot wherever possible, and we saw some brilliant efforts from a variety of players – you might also have spotted Axel beating the offside trap and finding the net earlier in our clip. But goal of the day would probably have to go to Tahith Chong, who evaded the attention of Nemanja Matic before rifling one into the bottom corner with his left foot.
