Wan-Bissaka buoyed by fan backing
Aaron Wan-Bissaka says he is inspired by the reaction he receives from the Manchester United fans every time he steps onto the pitch.
The young full-back has impressed since joining in the summer and his all-action play and incredible tackling ability have gone down a storm with the Reds’ faithful.
Wan-Bissaka is enjoying every second of life as a United player and is grateful for the support he has received.
“I’m happy with the team and what we’ve done together, so far, and I think there’s more to come. That’s why I joined - to be a part of such a great club,” he told us.
“The fans have been great," he told MUTV in an interview to preview Sunday's Premier League encounter at Watford. "They help me in every game and their reactions to my tackles help me a lot during games.
"It’s nice to hear the praise.”
The 22-year-old was United’s Man of the Match in the recent Manchester derby victory at City after producing a masterclass in defence.
“My first derby was a good experience," he said. "I was excited for it and I was excited after the game. It was a terrific week for us.
“At the end of the season, I’ll look back,” he added, when asked whether he has looked at his impressive tackling statistics.
“It’s always good to know the numbers are high.”
